Making your account private
Control who can see your posts and follow you.
Private accounts
With a private account, only approved followers can see your posts, stories, and activity. Your profile info and bio remain visible to everyone.
To enable
- Go to Settings > Privacy.
- Toggle Private account on.
What changes
- New followers must be approved by you.
- Your posts won't appear in public search or recommendations.
- Existing followers remain unless you remove them.
