Muting conversations and users
Silence notifications without unfollowing or blocking.
Muting
Muting lets you reduce noise without the other person knowing. Muted users and conversations will no longer trigger notifications.
Muting a user
- Go to their profile.
- Click the three-dot menu (···).
- Select Mute.
- Choose whether to mute posts, stories, or both.
Muting a conversation
- Open the conversation in Messages.
- Click the info icon.
- Toggle Mute notifications.
